This workshop is sponsored by the Institute for Aging Research at the Hebrew SeniorLife.
DESCRIPTION:
This workshop is targeted to researchers interested in generated latent variable methods in applied measurement research on aging. Methods of emphasis include factor analysis, item response theory, and differential item functioning (DIF) detection. The format of the course will be a balanced mix of didactic sessions and hands-on training/demonstration sessions. The workshop is led by applied researchers who use Mplus software in their day-to-day research to address measurment-related (and other) applied research questions.
What distinguishes this workshop is a focus on applied use of Mplus software (building, fitting and interpreting measurement modesl), rather than a broad survey of modeling approaches capable of being addressed with Mplus or a technical treatment of the statistical theory underlying the modeling approach.
